IF I HAVE SEEN FURTHER IT IS BY STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS
The Vanity of Small Differences is a series of six large-scale tapestries by the Turner-Prize winning artist Grayson Perry, which explore the British fascination with taste and class.
“I have taken Grayson Perry’s tapestries out of their correct sequence and adapted them into an abstract body of work. It has created the foundations for a project filled with inspiration and depth, allowing me to explore and create my own artwork and innovative designs.”
Lauren Rowlinson’s collection incorporates a generous mix of textures, patterns, different tones and lots of layering in order to achieve the desired look and aesthetic for her to illustrate the innovative cycle generated by the correlation between art and fashion.
