Pip Paz-Howlett took inspiration from late 80’s, early 90’s acid house raves: boys with the sweat dripping off their faces, their clothes oversized and danced off their bodies. Old rave flyers and vinyl sleeve art, acid hallucinations and vintage porn magazines from the 60’s and 70’s informed his use of colour and print. Pip Paz-Howlett replicated the bright, psychedelic look with loud imagery projected or painted on the body using latex as a second skin. The cut of the garments is based on functional 90’s sportswear, but scaled up, leaving plenty of room and comfort for rave dancing.
